Judo is a martial art and combat sport originating from Japan. Practising it influences mental and emotional development.
As a sport, it can promote integral physical education and, through knowledge, foster psycho-motor skills like spatial location, perspective, ambidextrism, laterality, coordinating both hands and feet independently but together. In addition to actions like throwing, pulling, pushing, dragging, jumping, rolling, falling, and more. As well as skills involving relationships with other people, using play and fighting as an integrating and dynamising element and provide an introduction to technical, tactical and sports skills in an adapted way. It also strives for general and ideal physical conditioning.
